Nicola ‘tired of rescue narrative, Napoli made it easier for Venezia’

Davide Nicola, the coach of Venezia FC, has expressed his desire to move past the narrative of him only being chosen for struggling clubs. In his first match as Napoli's opponent, Nicola highlighted how Napoli made it easier for Venezia to focus on the game, thanks to their superior quality. He emphasized the importance of maintaining a solid defensive shape, especially in set pieces, which proved crucial in their 1-0 victory.

Nicola also acknowledged the need for tactical organisation and conceded that counter-attacking opportunities might have been missed. He stressed the significance of tactical balance and the team's competitive spirit after only two training sessions.
