Man Shows Up to AI Job Interview With His Own Helicopter AI to Interview for Him

Last month, satirical influencer Graham Zip showcased a comical video of himself pretending to hallucinate during a job interview with an AI virtual avatar. The bot became agitated and berated him, displaying unsettling facial expressions. Recalling the growing trend of employers utilizing AI for applicant screening, Graham went one step further by inviting his own AI, named Victor, to join an interview with an employer's chatbot.

This new video quickly devolved into absurd chaos. When the Victor AI introduced itself and praised Graham, the company's AI responded warmly, calling him impressive and easy to work with. Graham had to intervene and correct his AI, clarifying that he was a marketing coordinator, not a manager. Throughout the exchange, the two AI models continually attempted to interrupt each other, leading Graham to tell his AI to side out.

At one point, Victor even suggested a salary of $60,000. Graham rebuffed this suggestion, sounding exasperated. As the video concluded, Graham left the call and left the AI models to negotiate his salary without his presence. The company's AI ultimately proposed a salary range of $85,000 to $95,000. While amusing, the video effectively highlights the potential pitfalls of outsourcing interview processes to AI and the lack of concern companies display when hiring through these automated means.
