Actress Aneet Padda, who rose to stardom with Mohit Suri's romantic drama Saiyaara, is set to return to the silver screen with the horror-comedy Shakti Shalini. This sixth installment of the Maddock Horror Comedy Universe marks Padda's second film. The film is slated for a December 2026 release, but it currently faces a major box office clash with Shah Rukh Khan's eagerly awaited King, also set for release on the same date.
Earlier, there were rumors that the makers of Shakti Shalini were contemplating a release postponement to 2027 to avoid a direct clash with King. However, the latest update suggests that the film is still set to release on its original date. Padda recalled her first meeting with late actor Nana Patekar, stating that they barely spoke during their time together.
The film's promotional video, displayed at screenings of Prahaar, confirms the December 24, 2026, theatrical release date. Despite the anticipated box office showdown between Shakti Shalini and King, both films are currently planned to hit theaters on December 24, 2026, setting the stage for a major clash at the box office.
