Kelantan Red Warrior head coach Irfan Bakti Abu Salim revealed that former Liverpool defender Aly Cissokho is currently on trial with their team. However, Irfan expressed his reservations about signing him, stating that the 39-year-old Frenchman is past his prime and too slow. During a post-match interview following Kelantan's 5-2 defeat to Star City, Irfan emphasized that while Cissokho's European pedigree is impressive, he offers no solution to the team's midfield issues.
The coach specifically criticized younger players Faiz Nasir and Muhaimin Izzudin for over-dribbling and attempting to emulate Lionel Messi, rather than focusing on basic shooting skills.
