Indore's Jhalaria Underpass To Be Ready In 30 Days, Residents Of 100 Colonies To Benefit

Indore's Jhalaria underpass at the MR-10 bypass junction is set to be completed within 30 days, according to officials of the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI). This improvement will benefit approximately 100 colonies in the area. NHAI project director Praveen Yadav, along with water resources minister Tulsi Ram Silawat and other officials, inspected the three-level flyover on Friday.

Silawat directed the team to speed up road markings, installation of dividers, and central lighting. He also increased manpower and resources to meet the deadline. Silawat contacted Indore Municipal Corporation officials to replace the pipeline beneath the flyover and instructed them to complete the approach road connecting the underpass to Jhalaria within 30 days.

The minister discussed central lighting installation with senior electricity department officials to ensure timely completion. Traffic movement has already improved on the bypass MR-10 junction with both lanes opening, benefiting over 1.5 lakh motorists. Once fully operational, improved road connectivity will ease commuting during the festive season for residents of the surrounding colonies.
