Nigerian singer Adewale Mayowa Emmanuel, widely known as Mayorkun, recounted a remarkable tale of a message from Davido after being ignored for two weeks. In a recent Afropolitan podcast, Mayorkun revealed that he had left his banking job following Davido's promise to sign him after he watched a clip of him singing online. However, the DMW musician abandoned contact with Mayorkun for two weeks, leaving him in a state of panic.
In desperation, Mayorkun sought spiritual guidance and started attending church, entrusting his fate to God. It was during a praise and worship session at the church that Davido unexpectedly reached out to him via WhatsApp, instructing him to pack his belongings and come to his house. Mayorkun emphasized that this encounter was far beyond a mere testimonial, stating that he hadn't even returned to his seat in the church when he received Davido's message.
