Columbus, Ohio - March 31: The Carolina Hurricanes (6-1-1) will face the Winnipeg Jets (4-1-2) in a game during their annual State Fair road trip. Sebastian Aho leads the visiting team with 13 points, while Andrei Svechnikov has 11 points. Mark Jankowski has a five-game scoring streak. However, the Hurricanes face some challenges with key injuries: Jordan Staal is out for at least a month with an unspecified injury, and Taylor Hall has only played four minutes since his last game, his status listed as "week to week."
To compensate, the Hurricanes have recalled top forward prospects Bradly Nadeau and Felix Unger Sorem. In practice, the lines were a mix of youngsters and experienced players. Goalie Pyotr Kochetkov, who has not lost this season (4-0-0), is expected to start. The Winnipeg Jets are currently third in the Central Division but suffered an overtime loss to the Chicago Blackhawks.
The team is led by Kyle Connor and Cole Perfetti. The game is scheduled to start at 3:30 PM Eastern and will be broadcast on Prime Video, Spectrum, and 99.9 The Fan on the radio.
