Bawumia will become President, Ghanaian youth stand to benefit – Ekua Amoakoh

Dr Ekua Amoakoh, a spokesperson for NPP flagbearer Dr Mahamudu Bawumia and the NPP Health Committee, believes that Dr Bawumia will eventually become the President of Ghana. She expressed this conviction while discussing Dr Bawumia's political future in a personality profile interview on JoyNews' PM Express. Dr Amoakoh cautioned that it would be unfortunate for young people of Ghana if they missed out on the benefits of his leadership.

Citing the National Democratic Congress (NDC)'s efforts to portray Dr Bawumia negatively, she argued that political promises should be assessed consistently across parties and not selectively used to attack opponents. She cited the unfulfilled Hope City project, originally pledged by former President John Mahama, as an example to illustrate her point, stating that merely not fulfilling a promise does not make the individual a liar.

The NDC, according to Dr Amoakoh, has been focusing on issues that could be used against Dr Bawumia rather than engaging with his policy proposals and leadership record. She highlighted Dr Bawumia's active role and desire to address problems during his tenure as Vice President, suggesting that his conduct in office indicated that he would take a more proactive approach if elected as President.
