Aleksandar Pavlović responds to Rodri comparisons
FC Bayern’s youngster getting the credits he deserves.
Bayern Munich's promising midfielder, Aleksandar Pavlović, has been receiving increasing recognition for his growing proficiency and play, leading to comparisons with Spanish international Rodri. Rodri, the Ballon d’Or winner and FC Barcelona player, has been a standout performer for several years, particularly during his tenure at Manchester City.
Despite not having been around for as long, Pavlović is also a skilled defensive midfielder. When asked about the comparisons, Pavlović remarked that everyone recognizes Rodri's world-class abilities and that being compared to him is an honor. He sees it as motivation to continue improving and reaching the top echelons of the sport.
It seems that Pavlović approaches these comparisons with humility and a drive for excellence. Rumors once circulated that Manchester City was interested in signing Pavlović, possibly anticipating the potential loss of Rodri and seeking a young, capable replacement. However, the transfer did not materialize and they ultimately signed Enzo Fernández instead.
It appears that Bayern Munich made the right decision in not pursuing Pavlović at the time. Now, it can be asked whether the comparisons to Rodri are justified. Readers are encouraged to share their thoughts in the comments.
