USA TODAY pencils Wisconsin in for major Big 10 vs. Big 12 bowl game

USA TODAY has named the Wisconsin Badgers for a significant bowl game, with the team set to face the Baylor Bears in the Cactus Bowl on December 26. According to Erick Smith's report, UCLA is currently the No. 7 seed in the College Football Playoffs, providing Wisconsin with a shot at altering that outcome this Saturday, October 17, at the Rose Bowl.

The Badgers, who currently sit at 4-1 with their only loss being a narrow one against Auburn at the beginning of the season, still have three ranked opponents on their schedule in the final weeks of the year: BYU, Texas Tech, and Houston. The team's schedule following the UCLA matchup includes challenges against USC and Iowa, which may influence Erick Smith's prediction.
