RedMagic 12 Pro+ Officially Debuts In China With Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 SoC

nubia's gaming-focused sub-brand RedMagic has unveiled its latest flagship smartphone in China, the RedMagic 12 Pro+, following a teaser previously released. This new device showcases a sleeker design with rounded edges, offering enhanced comfort during use. The RedMagic 12 Pro+ is equipped with a 6.85-inch BOE X11 OLED display, measuring 1,216 x 2,688 pixels, which delivers a 185Hz refresh rate and an impressive peak brightness of 5,000 nits.

The screen boasts ultra-narrow 0.96mm bezels, providing an uninterrupted viewing experience. The bezel-free frame houses a 700Hz dual shoulder trigger system, dual speakers, and RGB lighting. The phone also features a powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 SoC, complemented by RedCore R5 gaming and G1 display control chips.

It offers a range of storage options, with up to 16GB of RAM and a maximum storage capacity of 1TB. A sizable 8,400mAh battery powers the device, supporting fast charging options such as 120W wired, 80W wireless, and featuring bypass charging. The RedMagic 12 Pro+ maintains the brand's hybrid cooling system, which now combines active cooling fans, liquid cooling, and thermal materials, further enhanced with decorative lighting that responds to in-game activity.

The liquid cooling setup, introduced last year, now covers a larger area and offers decorative lighting. The device features a dual 50MP rear camera setup, including a main camera with OIS and an ultrawide sensor, while the front features a 16MP selfie camera. Additional features include an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and an IR blaster.

The phone is available in China in three transparent color options: Dark Night Transparent, Silver Wing Transparent, and Ice Blue Transparent, starting at CNY6,999 (~RM4,271) for the base 12GB+256GB configuration. Higher storage versions are priced at CNY7,999 (~RM4,882) and CNY8,999 (~RM5,492) respectively. A limited-edition Golden Saga variant with 24GB of RAM and 2TB of storage is also teased, but its pricing and availability remain undisclosed.

A global version, the RedMagic 12 Pro, without the "+" suffix, will be unveiled on 3 November 2026 at 7 AM EST (8 PM Malaysia time).
