PTPTN salur lebih RM396,000 bantu pelajar kurang berkemampuan

Perbadanan Tabung Pendidikan Tinggi Nasional (PTPTN) has disbursed RM396,500 in assistance to 793 students from disadvantaged backgrounds through the Madani Student Welfare Fund. Each recipient will receive a one-time payment of RM500, credited to their individual bank accounts. The initiative aims to alleviate financial burdens and support students in need.

PTPTN's Executive Director, Ahmad Dasuki Abdul Majid, expressed hope that the assistance would serve as motivation for students to continue striving for academic excellence, saying, "I hope this aid can ignite the ambition of students to achieve academic success, which not only opens doors to better future prospects and career opportunities but also helps improve living standards and transform family lives for the better."

The assistance was distributed on October 9 at the Sultan Mizan Conference Hall, Universiti Malaysia Terengganu (UMT) in Kuala Neru, Terengganu. Of the total recipients, 305 students from UMT received RM152,500, while 414 students from Universiti Sultan Zainal Abidin (Unisza) received RM207,000. The remaining RM37,000 was allocated to 74 students from four polytechnics, including Politeknik Hulu Terengganu, Politeknik Sultan Mizan Zainal Abidin, Politeknik Besut, and Politeknik Kuala Terengganu.

The program reflects the commitment of the Ministry of Higher Education and PTPTN to support students and the national higher education agenda.
