Pakistan PM: Strategic defense pact and Makkah Alliance mark milestones in ties with Saudi Arabia

In Taiz province, Yemeni forces, supported by popular resistance and airstrikes, successfully thwarted significant Houthi attacks on Friday, marking the forty-second day of continuous fighting. The Yemeni Armed Forces Media Center reported that government troops effectively repelled a major assault on the eastern and western flanks of the Al-Shaqab front, located south of Taiz city, following intense clashes that commenced in the early morning hours.

The Houthi fighters suffered heavy casualties and were compelled to withdraw, failing to achieve any territorial gains.

Parallel to the eastern sector, the armed forces and popular resistance engaged in fierce combat with the militia on the Al-Aqroud front, situated southeast of the city. The clashes were particularly intense in the Jabal Dhuheih area, as the Yemeni forces and resistance units actively repelled Houthi attacks and counter-advances around Jabal Han and nearby points on the western front. Simultaneously, ongoing skirmishes persisted in the Al-Dhabab front within the same region.

The statement from the Yemeni Armed Forces Media Center revealed that warplanes conducted a series of airstrikes against Houthi strongholds, gathering points, reinforcements, and vehicles across multiple fronts in the province. Additionally, drone strikes targeted militia sites, further bolstering the Yemeni forces during the ongoing confrontations.

The statement emphasized that the Houthi militia continues to dispatch reinforcements to the front lines to offset its losses, as the military operations and clashes persist across various fronts in Taiz province.
