MRT Laluan Kajang terjejas akibat cubaan curi kabel

Rapid KL reported that power supply to the Kajang Light Rail Transit (LRT) Line was restored at 6:32 AM following necessary measures. The Morning Express stated that the disruption was caused by attempts to steal cables between the Phileo Damansara station and the Damansara Central Hub. Rapid KL said, an attempt to sabotage the infrastructure and steal cables was discovered at 5:30 AM, leading to the temporary shutdown of power supply in the affected area in accordance with operational and safety procedures.

This action was taken to allow police backup units to conduct a safe investigation and monitoring operation, while ensuring the safety of passengers, staff, and the landline and smooth operation of train service. Power supply was restored at 6:32 AM after the necessary actions were taken, Rapid KL said, adding that alternative train and shuttle bus services were halted.

The police report has been made at IPD Brickfields, and Rapid KL will continue to cooperate with the police to help the investigation to prevent such incidents from recurring.
