Macron says France accelerating missile deliveries to Ukraine, offering satellite data support

French President Emmanuel Macron announced at a press conference following a European Council meeting in Brussels that France is accelerating missile deliveries to Ukraine and offering additional satellite data support. Speaking at a time of uncertainty, Macron emphasized the importance of Europe firmly upholding its position and protecting international principles, stating that this is about Europe's security and defending international values.

He noted that Europe continues to provide budget support to Ukraine and highlighted that France has accelerated the implementation of agreements reached with Ukraine in July. Macron specifically mentioned the acceleration of missile deliveries, as well as work in the areas of drones and missile defense. He also indicated that France plans to hold additional meetings in the coming days to expedite the licensing process for producing certain weapons more quickly on Ukrainian territory.

Additionally, France aims to develop joint defense projects with Ukraine. Macron further emphasized the importance of satellite imagery and early warning systems in helping Ukraine withstand aggression, stating that Europe has solutions in this area. Following a meeting with European Council President António Costa and European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, President Volodymyr Zelensky outlined key topics, including energy support, strengthening air defense, and opening negotiating clusters.
