The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has reopened its National Identification Number (NIN) alignment service for eligible candidates to correct discrepancies between their examination records and National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) data. This one-time opportunity allows candidates to reconcile mismatched personal information, including names, dates of birth, gender, and other biodata fields.
JAMB advises candidates to ensure that any errors in their NIMC records are corrected before applying for alignment with their JAMB biodata. The reopening aims to improve the accuracy and consistency of candidates' personal records used in tertiary admission processes across Nigeria. The application procedure, eligible fields for correction, verification process, and other requirements are detailed in a special "JAMB Explained" video released alongside the announcement.
Candidates are encouraged to study the video, select all necessary corrections in a single submission, and use only official communication channels for accurate information on the service. Applications will undergo verification and approval, and candidates must monitor their JAMB profile or registered phone/email for status updates.
