Harrogate boss Weaver becomes co-owner
Long-serving Harrogate Town manager Simon Weaver becomes co-owner of the National League club, ending his father's ownership.
Harrogate Town's manager, Simon Weaver, has become a co-owner of the National League club, taking over from his father, Irving Weaver, who had been the owner since 2011. Long-serving manager Weaver took over the club in May 2009, leading them to promotion to the Football League for the first time in their history in 2020. Weaver and local businessman Jonathan Bleazard have now taken over the club in a deal described as "an important new chapter in its history."
The partnership between the two is expected to complement each other's strengths, with both committed to the club's success.
