EPL: Man United fine Martínez after hierarchy criticism

Manchester United have fined defender Lisandro Martínez following his public criticism of the club’s hierarchy after their recent Champions League defeat to Atlético Madrid. The Argentina international spoke out in post-match interviews, expressing disappointment with the club's lack of summer transfers and questioning the technical director Jason Wilcox's performance.

Following a meeting with the club's leadership, including head coach Michael Carrick and chief executive Omar Berrada, Martínez has issued a public apology for his comments, stating that his frustration during the game led to an inappropriate response. While the fine has been imposed, the club has not disclosed the exact amount, and questions remain about Martínez's future at Old Trafford.
