Chad Powers might join "basketball team or something" in season three

Chad Powers, the star of the Hulu comedy "Chad Powers," is a man of twists and turns. With Glen Powell's face, one might expect a predictable performance, but Powers has taken the role in a "deep and deeply stupid" direction, as co-creator Michael Waldron described it to Variety. The show, which is Hulu's third most-watched returning series of the year, has been a hit with viewers despite its silly premise.

Season two left viewers with a cliffhanger, and Waldron is already considering other sports for the football comedy, including basketball. Waldron told Variety that if there is interest in continuing the show, "Chad can join the basketball team or something." However, Waldron emphasized that nothing is guaranteed, and he plans to keep subverting audience expectations by telling a sports story with unpredictable twists and turns.

Waldron acknowledged the challenge of continuing a show with such a "stupid" premise, stating that it should not overstay its welcome.
