ASUS ROG Rapture GT-BN98 Wi-Fi 8 Routers Now Available In Malaysia

ASUS has officially made its ROG Rapture GT-BN98 router available for purchase in Malaysia. The quadruple-band Wi-Fi 8 device is engineered to deliver unparalleled wireless connectivity and dependability. The router supports a range of network standards, including IEEE 802.11a, b, g, n, ac, ax, be, bn, IPv4, and IPv6.

Beyond its Wi-Fi 8 capabilities, the GT-BN98 is compatible with various frequency spectrums, ranging from the traditional 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands to the more recent 6GHz spectrum. It boasts a peak bandwidth of 11529 Mbps on the 6GHz band, with a maximum of 5764 Mbps on the 5GHz bands (1 and 2), and 1376 Mbps on the 2.4GHz band (using 4096 QAM).

The GT-BN98 is powered by a 2.6GHz quad-core processor coupled with 2GB of RAM and a 256GB storage capacity. Connectivity options are extensive, with two 10G ports for WAN/LAN and gaming, four 2.5G ports, one 1G port, and additional USB-A ports supporting speeds up to 5Gbps and 2.0.

Externally, the device features eight antennas fixed in place, enhancing Wi-Fi coverage across a wide area. Software-wise, it incorporates Asus's unique Wi-Fi Insight feature, which continuously monitors interference—both Wi-Fi and non-Wi-Fi—across all bands and delivers detailed reports on network health for optimized performance.

Additionally, GTNet, a third-party service, is integrated into the router's system. GTNet analyzes real-time network conditions and dynamically routes them through the most reliable paths, prioritizing the shortest distance and lowest latency for an enhanced gaming experience.

The ASUS ROG Rapture GT-BN98 is now being sold by authorized retailers and resellers in Malaysia, priced at RM3,988.
