ADC supporters bitter over Obi, Kwankwaso’s ‘divorce’ — Shehu Sani

Former Kaduna Central Senator Shehu Sani has criticized ADC supporters for spreading negative remarks against Peter Obi and Rabiu Kwankwaso following their political separation. Sani expressed his concern over a recent ADC statement accusing Kwankwaso of supporting Obi due to personal ambition and working for President Bola Tinubu.

In a post on his X account, Sani stated that the ADC's criticism, including allegations of the politicians aligning with the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) or Tinubu, was fueled by bitterness over their political split. Sani emphasized that both Obi and Kwankwaso had built independent political careers and were entitled to make their own decisions.

He argued that the politicians had the right to associate and disassociate, regardless of the criticism. Sani noted that the politicians' refusal to be used for someone else's political gain was the reason they continue to face such accusations. He added that the politicians should not be treated like disposable tools in someone's political maneuvering.

Sani warned that political parties should not function like cults where members cannot part ways peacefully.
