"You're literally just saying it out of nowhere, which makes me go, 'Hmm,'" the former "View" regular says The post ‘The View’ Guest Host Raven-Symoné Side Eyes JD Vance for Insisting He’s Not Gay After a Joke: ‘No One Asked’ appeared first on TheWrap .
During a recent campaign stop in Texas, Vice President JD Vance vehemently asserted that he is not gay, seemingly at the request of a supporter. This assertion was made in response to a supporter shouting "I love you," with Vance clarifying later that he meant his words in a platonic manner due to his position as the vice president.
"The View" guest host Raven-Symoné expressed her skepticism, stating, "JD Vance, no one asked if you were gay." She noted that the Republican candidate for Senate, Ken Paxton's opponent Talarico, is in a long-term relationship and that even if he were gay, it would not be an issue. Raven-Symoné also criticized Vance and others for making unsubstantiated claims about Talarico, including that he is a vegan and has recently been in a mental health facility.
She pointed out that using "gay" and "vegan" as insults is an outdated tactic and mocked the attempt to "de-masculinate" someone.
