Pune VIDEO: Two-Wheeler Rider Collides With Car Near Baner's Nanaware Bridge; Dashcam Footage Goes Viral

Pune witnessed a harrowing collision between a two-wheeler and a car near Nanaware Bridge in Baner on Wednesday afternoon. The accident was captured on a dashcam belonging to another car, which has since become viral on social media platforms.

The incident unfolded as the biker crossed the road from a service road, only to be struck by an oncoming vehicle. The two-wheeler was severely damaged, but thankfully, the rider survived the ordeal, primarily due to the protective effects of his helmet. Dashcam footage shows the intense moment of impact, highlighting the gravity of the situation.

The collision occurred amid heavy traffic, with the two-wheeler entering the road from the service road as the car approached from below the bridge. The rider's fall onto the road in front of another vehicle added to the danger. Fortunately, the driver of the second car managed to brake in time, preventing a potentially more catastrophic accident.

The helmet worn by the biker proved instrumental in safeguarding his head during the impact. The footage clearly illustrates the split-second decision-making involved as the biker entered the path of the approaching car. The second driver's timely response by applying the brakes also played a crucial role in averting a more serious collision.

This incident has sparked discussions about road safety, particularly the importance of caution when entering busy roads from service roads, especially in areas like Nanaware Bridge and junctions. Authorities are urged to take necessary measures to ensure the safety of riders and motorists alike. The rider's condition and any subsequent police actions are yet to be disclosed.
