Prince William faces Sourav Ganguly in London cricket match; Brian Lara joins in

Britain's Prince William joined a group of cricket legends for an impromptu game on The Mall, the famous road leading to Buckingham Palace, on Tuesday. The Mall, typically a site for royal processions, was transformed into a temporary cricket pitch. The event, held ahead of the Earthshot Prize ceremony, featured former India captain Sourav Ganguly, cricketer Ajinkya Rahane, West Indies legend Brian Lara, and England players Joe Root and Harry Brook.

Dressed casually, Prince William took to the pitch and played a few shots against Ganguly's bowling. Ganguly praised the prince's batting, while Rahane, in a LinkedIn post, described the experience as memorable and a privilege to be part of. The Earthshot Prize, a global environmental award, will be presented to five recipients in November in Mumbai. Kensington Palace has not yet confirmed if Princess Kate will accompany Prince William.
