Pokémon Center Trolls Fans With Worst 30th Anniversary TCG Drop Yet
Pokémon fans were hoping for the UPC from the 30th Anniversary TCG set, or maybe some more Delta Reign ETBs from TPC
On Thursday, The Pokémon Center stirred up chatter on Discord servers with rumors of a 30th Anniversary Ultra Premium Collection drop. However, the actual contents of the drop were far less impressive than anticipated. Fans who were willing to endure lengthy queues could still purchase a single 30th Anniversary mini tin, which featured cute designs and some nice artwork and stickers.
The tins contained only two packs each and were priced at $9.99, a reasonable price compared to major retailers. While users could purchase multiple types of tins, there were only eight options, potentially limiting the total number of packs to 16. This drop falls short of expectations, as TPC is selling tins that are already out in the wild rather than offering pre-orders for the upcoming release.
Additionally, each listing increases the number of clicks required to flag a user and potentially get them banned from the website. The aggressive anti-bot features of TPC may unintentionally deter legitimate resellers. The difficulty of adding items to a TPC cart during active drops means users may encounter errors or miss out on their desired items.
For those still interested in obtaining the 30th Anniversary collection at reasonable prices, the available tins and their respective contents have been listed.
