Lions Announce Historic NFL Milestone for QB Jared Goff

Quarterback Jared Goff of the Detroit Lions is making waves in his 2026 NFL season, delivering a stellar performance thus far. He has completed 67% of his pass attempts, throwing for a remarkable 1,485 yards, 12 touchdowns, and maintaining a perfect record of zero interceptions. Goff's prowess extended to Sunday's Week 5 win against the Arizona Cardinals, as he scored three passing touchdowns, extending his streak of games with at least one passing score to an impressive 28.

This accomplishment marks the longest active streak in the NFL and the longest in Lions franchise history. Goff's feat is particularly noteworthy, as he is only the second player in NFL history to achieve 12 or more touchdowns without any interceptions in the first five games of a season. On top of his passing touchdowns, Goff also contributed with a one-yard rushing score against the Cardinals.

Lions head coach Dan Campbell praised Goff, stating, "Goff is just Goff. He's as good as they come." The Lions currently sit at a 3-2 record heading into their bye week, with a Week 7 game against their division-rival Green Bay Packers on the horizon.
