He's brilliant, Andoni Iraola finds glorious solution to Liverpool woe

Andoni Iraola, the new Liverpool manager, has found a clever way to address the team's struggles, finds journalist Andoni Iraola. On Wednesday, the Reds obliterated LASK 6-0, playing free-flowing attacking football reminiscent of their successful campaigns under Jürgen Klopp. Iraola, who joined Liverpool in the summer, has started his tenure implementing a 4-2-3-1 system that mirrors Klopp's previous style, rather than the more traditional 4-3-3.

However, his tactical approach has evolved during this season, with Iraola opting to use Trey Nyoni as the central midfield figure, while Ryan Gravenberch and Florian Wirtz operate as two advanced centre-backs - a shift from the team's usual shape. This new 4-3-3 formation, which Iraola has championed, allows for greater flexibility and movement in midfield, fostering a more fluid and attacking style of play.

The team's success against LASK, scoring six goals and dominating possession, demonstrates that this tactical shift is yielding positive results, indicating Iraola's potential to revitalize Liverpool's fortunes.
