Google Play Store Starts Selling Pixel and Samsung Phones

Google has begun offering hardware, including smartphones and smartwatches, directly through the Google Play Store in certain regions. Users can now access these devices through a new "Shop devices" option in their Play Store account menu, eliminating the need to visit the separate Google Store. While the initial focus is on Google and Samsung products, the selection includes the Pixel 11 series, Pixel Watches, Galaxy S26 lineup, and several Galaxy Watch8 models.

However, product availability varies by region, with some markets featuring both Pixel and Samsung devices, while others currently only display Google's offerings. Interestingly, no special discounts or promotions are currently available for the hardware listed in the Play Store. As of now, Samsung is the exclusive third-party smartphone brand available alongside Google's devices, though it remains uncertain if additional Android brands will eventually join the hardware section.

Google has not confirmed whether this partnership with Samsung is a result of a close collaboration or if Samsung is simply the first manufacturer to participate in this new feature.
