ESPN 'College GameDay' announces Week 7 location
ESPN is bringing "College GameDay" to Big 12 territory instead of attending the Ohio State at Indiana game on Saturday
ESPN GameDay has announced its Week 7 destination, marking the first visit to a Big 12 campus this season. The popular pregame show will be at the Notre Dame Fighting Irish's game against the BYU Cougars on Saturday, October 17. College GameDay has not been to BYU's campus since 2009. The Notre Dame- BYU matchup carries significant playoff implications, as both teams are currently undefeated.
ESPN GameDay chose this game over other high-profile Week 7 matchups, including Ohio State vs. Indiana, Florida vs. Texas, Mississippi State vs. LSU, Alabama vs. Tennessee, Oklahoma State vs. Houston, Missouri vs. Ole Miss, and more. The trip to BYU will be GameDay's second non-SEC campus visit in seven weeks, following their appearance at Iowa City for the Ohio State vs. Iowa game.
Last week, GameDay covered the competitive Georgia vs. Alabama game, which ended with Georgia winning 20-17 after the Bulldogs ran out the clock. The show's schedule for the 2026 season includes stops at Clemson vs. LSU, Ohio State vs. Texas, LSU vs. Ole Miss, Texas vs. Tennessee, Ohio State vs. Iowa, Georgia vs. Alabama, and the upcoming Notre Dame vs. BYU game.
