Canadian music icon Celine Dion is set to receive her own Barbie Signature doll this Christmas, honoring her legendary performance at the 1998 Academy Awards. Mattel has announced the release of a doll paying tribute to Dion's iconic "My Heart Will Go On" rendition, which showcased her stunning navy blue turtleneck dress and a miniature glittering necklace inspired by the film's blue heart-shaped diamond.
The doll, which is available for preorder at $60, aims to inspire confidence and self-expression. Celine Dion expressed her delight at joining the Barbie legacy, stating her hope that the doll will encourage everyone to believe in their own voice. The doll is scheduled to ship before the end of the year, and arrives as Dion continues her 26-date residency in Paris, following a six-year hiatus due to her rare neurological disorder, Stiff-Person Syndrome. The performances are set to conclude on October 17, 2023, with additional shows in May 2027.
