Blondie Announce High Noon, First New Album in Nine Years

On October 15, iconic new wave group Blondie revealed their first new album in nine years, titled 'High Noon.' The band announced the single "Spectral Eyes," penned by former Smiths guitarist Johnny Marr, alongside backing vocals from Glen Matlock, ex-bassist of the Sex Pistols. The 13-track album, set for release on Feb. 26 via BMG, blends their classic punk/new wave sound with contemporary dance music and Latin rhythms.

'High Noon' also marks the last recording session for founding members Debbie Harry and Chris Stein with late drummer and co-founder Clem Burke, who passed away in 2025. Harry shared, "This album is classic Blondie — an amalgamation of all our different influences and eras into something new." The record, produced by John Congleton, was recorded with additional contributions from Zach Condon of Beirut, Jess Wolfe and Holly Laessig of Lucius.

With tracks like "Heartbreak Kid" and "Sleepwalking," 'High Noon' pays homage to Blondie's New York roots and the legacy of the era they emerged from.
