"Why Are You Ruining The Country?": CJP's Abhijeet Dipke Heckled At Airport
Upon returning to the Capital, Dipke targeted the Centre over the five-day judicial custody for his comrades Ashutosh Ranka and Saurav Das.
On Wednesday, Abhijeet Dipke, the founder of the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP), faced heckling when he returned to Delhi from his hometown. Upon exiting the Indira Gandhi International Airport, a man allegedly referred to Dipke as a "CIA agent." Another individual confronted him, questioning, "Why are you ruining the country?" The incident occurred in the wake of a protest at Jantar Mantar the previous day, where CJP co-convenors Saurav Das and Ashutosh Ranka scaled a gate to demonstrate against Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar and the government following its designation as a non-protest zone.
Dipke had previously criticized the Narendra Modi government for the arrest of Das and Ranka, who were detained for five days due to their act of unfurling the Tricolour at Jantar Mantar. The CJP founder argued that the arrest was wrong because displaying the national flag should not be a crime. He drew a comparison to the British colonial era when freedom fighters were jailed for displaying the flag.
