PSV suffered a disappointing 1-0 loss to RB Leipzig in their Champions League match, leaving Mauro Junior frustrated with the result. The defeat marked the team's second in the competition, forcing them to secure a win in their next game to stay in contention for advancing. PSV's opening match against Shakthar Donetsk ended in a 1-1 draw, adding to the pressure on the Dutch side.
Despite creating several chances, Junior acknowledged that his team needed to convert them better. The loss will test their resolve as they face Porto away and Club Brugge at home in the coming matches. A string of wins and draws will be necessary for PSV to progress through the league phase, which includes tough games against Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid, Viking, and VfB Stuttgart.
