Visit Qatar announces return of Qatar T100 Kick Off Run for 2026

The Qatar T100 Kick Off Run is set to make a triumphant return in 2026, according to Visit Qatar in collaboration with the Professional Triathletes Organisation (PTO). The event aims to welcome residents and visitors of all ages and abilities for two community runs - a 1km and a 5km course - before the Qatar T100 Triathlon World Championship Final on December 11.

The 1km run will commence at 17:45, followed by the 5km race at 18:30 on December 10 in Lusail. Both runs are scheduled to be part of a three-day programme of racing, leading up to the championship events. The community runs are untimed, open to individuals, families, and children, and designed to make the sport accessible to a wide range of participants.

In addition to the 1km and 5km runs, the weekend's programme will also feature open 100km and Sprint-distance triathlons for amateur athletes, with relay options available for the first time across both distances. This expanded programme offers participants a variety of opportunities to engage with the race and experience the course at Lusail's waterfront.

The Qatar T100 Triathlon World Championship Final will mark the climax of the 2026 T100 Triathlon World Tour, bringing together top professional triathletes to compete for the season's world championship titles. This event further solidifies Qatar's reputation as a premier destination for international sporting events, adding another world-class competition to the country's dynamic sporting calendar.
