Police arrest man over assault in Canada

A 28-year-old man, Adebayo Maoli, has been arrested in Canada for sexual assault and two counts of indecent exposure, following allegations from two female victims on Toronto's subway system. The Toronto Police Service made the arrest on Sunday, alleging the incidents took place on September 1 and October 3, 2026, at King and College stations.

According to the police statement, on September 1 at 3pm, Maoli allegedly exposed himself to two passengers aboard a southbound train at King Station. The victims activated the security alarm, prompting Maoli to exit the train. On October 3 at 12:10am, the suspect followed a woman alighting from a subway train at College Station, exposing himself to her as she walked onto an escalator. The woman confronted the suspect, who then fled the scene.

Maoli, a resident of Toronto, faces charges of two counts of indecent act and one count of sexual assault. He is scheduled to appear in court at the Toronto Regional Bail Centre on October 9, 2026, at 9:30am. Police are seeking information on potential additional victims and have released an image of the suspect.
