Former Arsenal star Thierry Henry has criticized Lisandro Martinez for publicly criticizing Manchester United’s board following the team's Champions League loss to Atletico Madrid. Martinez had blamed the board for their lack of investment during the summer transfer window, specifically directing his ire at technical director Jason Wilcox.
Henry expressed his disapproval of Martinez's comments, stating that they should have said it directly to the person they were addressing. "I’m not a coach anymore, but I always say, whoever speaks like that, out. Keep that in the dressing room, it’s as simple as that," Henry said on CBS Sports. "That is the only way it can work.
You have to say those things to a person’s face… going through the press, I am not really a fan of that."
