Nairobi police are investigating the death of a man whose body was found inside his apartment in Imara Daima after he went missing for approximately six days. Festo Malundu Ndunye, the deceased, was a tenant residing on the ground floor in the area. The incident was reported on Tuesday, October 13, 2026, when the apartment caretaker became concerned about the tenant's prolonged absence and lack of response to phone calls.
The caretaker informed police that the tenant's apartment had remained locked from the inside, leading officers from Villa Police Station to investigate the premises. Upon arrival, the officers cut the padlock to gain entry and discovered Ndunye's body lying on the floor in an upright position. The deceased's upper body was fully clothed, while his lower body, including his underwear, was unclothed.
Police found no visible injuries on the body initially. Crime Scene Investigation officers from Embakasi processed the scene before transporting the body to Nairobi Funeral Home for preservation and a postmortem examination, with the cause of death yet to be determined.
