LaLiga has announced that Real Madrid forward Vinicius Jr will be banned for four matches following his red card against Villarreal. The Brazilian player was substituted in the second half of the match after Los Blancos took the lead with a goal scored by Yan Diomande. Vinicius Jr thought he had scored his team’s second goal, but an incident where he pulled Nathan Saliba’s hair led to his red card.
The ban will see Vinicius Jr miss Real Madrid’s next four games, including the crucial match against Barcelona. The matches he will miss are: Sevilla (home), Barcelona (away), Racing Club (away), and Valencia (away).
