Enforcing ADRs with Deterministic Architecture Tests
TL;DR: Architecture Decision Records (ADRs) turn into dead documentation the moment a team accumulates more than thirty decisions.
- Enforce ADRs deterministically through automated architecture tests
- Three-layer governance model includes deterministic gates, context index, anti-patterns
- Deterministic tests examine code structure to detect architectural violations early

Over the last six weeks I've had 44 bug fixes merged into other people's open-source projects, most of them MCP servers. Many came from the same loop: mcp-doctor , my static linter for MCP servers…
- Agent must replay against merged code with ~60% match threshold
- Agent runs full loop on unseen repositories before posting anything
- Human sends every PR; agent handles slow parts of process
