‘Hardcore Rajinikanth fan’: Soundarya on father’s Jailer 2, if she is a Kamal Haasan fan

Soundarya Rajinikanth, the daughter of Indian film icon Rajinikanth, expressed her excitement for her father's upcoming sequel Jailer 2, set to release on October 15. As the showrunner of Balaji Mohan's romantic series #Lovel, which premiered on Netflix India on October 1, Soundarya is a devoted Rajinikanth fan, claiming, "I m a hardcore Thalaiva fan.

I m waiting for every film of his." She particularly looks forward to Jailer 2 due to its rarity as a sequel in her father's lengthy career. The film is a tribute to the 2023 blockbuster Jailer, which grossed around Rs 650 crore worldwide. Soundarya also shared a picture of her #Love, a series starring Aishwarya Lekshmi and Arjun Das, with her father, but insists he wouldn't trade his early life for one influenced by social media.

Soundarya will also witness her father's reunion with Kamal Haasan, a collaboration set to occur 40 years after their 1985 film Geraftaar, under the direction of Jailer director Nelson Dilipkumar.
