Flyers Trade Talk: Briere’s Phone ‘Getting Love’; Making Sense of the Konecny Rumor

The Philadelphia Flyers are currently undergoing a slow and disappointing start to the 2026-27 season, with a 0-5-3 record. General Manager Danny Briere has indicated that the team may not aim for success this time around, but insists they will still try to compete. As time passes without improvement, the team's chances of making the playoffs in consecutive years decrease.

This has led to speculation about potential trades, with rumors circulating about the Flyers' interest in acquiring veteran players. On TSN's Insider Trading, Pierre LeBrun revealed that Briere's phone has been receiving attention from other General Managers, but the interest is not promising. During a recent game, 12 scouts were reportedly present, suggesting that the Flyers are being closely monitored by other teams. The Phoenix Coyotes, Tampa Bay Lightning, and Dallas Stars were among those in attendance.
