Exhibition game thread: St. John’s men’s basketball vs. Drexel
The Red Storm has its full roster available in its first dress rehearsal on Wednesday night (6 p.m., ESPN+).
New York, NY - December 16, 2025 - The St. John's Red Storm have faced an unprecedentedly chaotic offseason, marked by transfer portal drama, injuries, international signings, fifth-year signings, and legal issues. However, just before the start of the preseason, the team received some much-needed news. Starting point guard Quinn Ellis has been fully cleared to play for the 2026-27 season.
Alongside him, Babacar Sane, Keyshawn Hall, and Reed Bailey will be eligible to participate in Wednesday's exhibition game against the Drexel Dragons at Carnesecca Arena in Queens, New York. While these four players will be cleared for the game, they still need full clearance. This marks the first time this season that the Red Storm can take the court they are accustomed to, showcasing what many anticipate to be an exceptionally talented roster in college basketball.
