El club de los olvidados rescata al Madrid contra la Roma

Real Madrid staged a remarkable comeback to defeat Roma 3-1 in a thrilling Champions League match at the Stadio Olimpico, marking Jose Mourinho's successful return to the Italian venue. Mourinho, who led Roma to Conference League and Europa League titles during his tenure, now guided his current team to an impressive victory. Roma started strongly, taking the lead in the 20th minute through Marten de Roon’s first-time 20-yard shot assisted by Matias Soule.

However, the lead wasn't to last long as Real Madrid staged a swift response. Kylian Mbappe, celebrating his 100th Champions League appearance, turned the game around with a deflected goal scored by Gianluca Mancini, making it 1-1. Donyell Malen's two goals, including a deflected one off Federico Valverde, put Real ahead 3-1. Roma made several defensive substitutions, but it was Mourinho's tactical changes that ultimately secured the win.

Carlos Espi and Endrick's late goals, followed by Antonio Rudiger's dramatic close-range winner in the 90th minute, turned the tide. The win moved Real Madrid six points behind leaders Barcelona in La Liga, while Roma suffered a disappointing loss. Roma supporters displayed banners honoring former manager Jose Mourinho, including one that read "Welcome back, Special One."
