Economic reforms must protect vulnerable Nigerians — Oyedele

Minister of Finance Taiwo Oyedele emphasized the necessity of safeguarding Nigeria's vulnerable citizens from the potential negative consequences of economic reforms at the Africa’s Golden Future Forum in Bangkok, Thailand. Social protection measures are crucial to achieving inclusive growth, according to Oyedele, who spoke about the Federal Government's cash transfer program reaching over 10 million households and education support initiatives benefiting more than 1.5 million students.

The minister highlighted the importance of strategic sequencing of reforms, consistent communication of policy decisions, and building public trust to ensure successful implementation.
