Carrick reacts to Martinez’s criticism of Man Utd hierarchy

Manchester United manager Michael Carrick has declined to comment further on Lisandro Martinez's criticism of the club's leadership following their defeat to Atletico Madrid. The defender had criticized United director Jason Wilcox over his perceived inadequate investment in the squad during the summer transfer window. United has won only two of their nine matches this season, raising concerns about their performances and recruitment strategy.

Martinez had argued that the club's hierarchy had not provided him with the support he deserved. Carrick stated that he needed to investigate the matter further before commenting further, as he had not seen Martinez's interview. He emphasized the importance of moving forward quickly and staying focused on the upcoming game. Carrick also highlighted the players' commitment and determination to improve, despite the club's struggles.
