Canadian Fiera Capital joins QFC platform, opens Qatar office

The Qatar Financial Centre (QFC) has welcomed Canadian asset management firm Fiera Capital into its platform and announced the establishment of a local office in Qatar. QFC CEO Mansoor Rashid Al Khater emphasized the importance of this addition to the financial services community, noting that the licensing of Fiera Capital's UK subsidiary marks growing confidence in Qatar as a regional financial hub.

Fiera Capital's Executive Director and CEO, Klaus Schuster, expressed their intention to work more closely with local investors and contribute to Qatar's National Vision 2030 through their presence in the country. The QFC provides a favorable platform for businesses, allowing up to 100% foreign ownership, 100% repatriation of profits, and charging a competitive corporate tax rate of 10% on locally sourced profits.
