Aurionpro Wins Finland Transit Payment Contract, Enters European Market

Aurionpro Solutions has secured a contract with Matkahuolto, Finland's parcel and digital transport services provider, to supply its SCV 500 Validator and ECR-one contactless card reader for a contactless EMV (cEMV) project. This contract is valued at ₹150 crore and will integrate with Matkahuolto's Transport Management System (TMS) and payment application APIs.

The aim is to enable the acceptance of EMV payment cards and Finland's local contactless card standards, providing a reliable fare-payment experience across the country's public transport network.

Matkahuolto's Director of Digital Transport Services, Petri Lindqvist, expressed that this collaboration would enhance the travel experience for passengers across Finland, with the cEMV capability facilitating support for tickets from various operators. Aurionpro's President and Global Head of Tech Innovation Group, Sanjay Bali, highlighted that this engagement marks the company's entry into the European market, representing a significant step in expanding Aurionpro's global transit business.

Matkahuolto, operating for over 90 years, offers parcel services and digital transport solutions, facilitating more than 70 lakh journeys annually. In 2025, the company's turnover amounted to EUR 98.5 million (approximately ₹882.25 crore). The company is committed to reducing its emissions by 50% by 2030. Aurionpro Solutions, listed on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) under script code 532668 and the National Stock Exchange (NSE) with symbol AURIONPRO, focuses on sectors including banking, payments, mobility, insurance, transit, data centres, and government.
