Anthropic to add US voting information to Claude before midterms

Anthropic announced on Wednesday that it will integrate official U.S. voting information from nonprofit Democracy Works into its Claude AI chatbot in the coming month, prior to the November midterm elections. The company aims to make Claude a valuable resource for political discussions while also preventing any misuse of the AI in election-related contexts.

Currently, conversations centered around politics, public policy, or social issues represent approximately 5.75% of all interactions on Claude.ai, the company's consumer platform. The statement from Anthropic highlighted their awareness of the challenge of constantly switching between browsers and emphasized their commitment to providing a fast, secure, and optimal user experience.

They encouraged users to either upgrade to a supported browser or download the mobile app for the best possible experience.
