BYU has secured 5-star recruit AJ Williams for an official campus visit on October 15. The highly anticipated visit comes as the Cougars aim to secure one of their top targets in the 2027 class. AJ Williams, the No. 5 overall recruit in the national 2027 class, will participate in the BYU-Nebraska exhibition game on Friday and potentially attend the College Gameday festivities on Saturday.
This visit is significant for BYU, as they have been targeting Williams for some time, aiming to follow in the footsteps of successful recruits such as Egor Demin, AJ Dybantsa, and Bruce Branch. BYU's strength lies in their ability to recruit elite guards and wings, like AJ Williams, and coach them to fulfill their potential in the NBA.
The 6-foot-7 wing scorer has already visited Auburn, Mississippi State, and Georgia. While BYU is considered the front-runner for Williams, Georgia remains a strong competitor. Despite the excitement surrounding the visit, nothing is guaranteed yet, especially with home state school Georgia posing a threat.
