The campaign team of Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde has labeled the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council as a "coalition of failed politicians" and predicted a defeat for President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 general election. The APC council, described as a "Nebuchadnezzar Coalition," is expected to face political humiliation due to worsening insecurity, economic hardship, and declining public confidence in Tinubu's administration.
The Makinde campaign highlights the failure of Tinubu's administration, citing corruption investigations and an economic crisis. They question the council's ability to address the growing poverty, health, and education issues facing the nation. The Makinde team argues that elections are won by the confidence of citizens, not by the size of a campaign council or the presence of powerful figures.
